Today, I want to share with you a travel friendly page I did recently in my bible. Don’t bible journal? That’s OK! This technique works on all styles of Gel Press plates and can be used in art journaling, card making, ATCs and more!

Today, I wanted to share with you a technique for getting a “subway art” style image in your journaling Bible. We’ll be using the same technique with two different mediums: archival ink and acrylic paint!

Today, I wanted to show you a little something different: Petite Plates. This collection “Sweet Nature” is one of my newest faves for Bible Journaling. With the release of 3 different styles of the Illustrating Bibles from Dayspring, the wider margins are really opening up the possibilities for using ALL of your Gel Press plates in your Bible journaling.

We are in that season of thankfulness. That season of remembering what and who makes are our lives amazing. However, it’s not always easy when there are so many negative things in the world and in our own personal lives.

Today, I am going to share with a simple technique for getting a layered look!
Don’t be scared! If you are like me, I know it can be so easy to look at these absolutely BEAUTIFUL prints from other people and wonder how they achieved it. More specifically, how they knew what order to put that layers down to achieve the final product.

I recently printed yardage with a Gel Press plate and discovered a few tips to make the process easier. The largest Gel Press plate is 12” x 14” and the fabric that I wanted to print was 108” long and 54” wide so I needed a way to cover the fabric with printing using the plate to create repeats and to make sure that the repeats lined up and didn’t overlap each other.

This exciting art adventure will take you on an exploration using a 6×6 Gel Press plate with Pebeo Setacolor fabric paint and Setascrib marking pens. Be prepared to leave your critic outside the door. You will play with colors, glitter paint, a substance that feels like a jelly fish and create. There are no mistakes.

I’ve been having a great time at various scrapbook expos in the US and Canada showing people how to make these fabulous kraft paper flower corsages with the 5×7 Gel Press Printing Plate. I thought I would also share them here with you!

I think my favorite thing about Spring is feeling like everything has moved from neutral colors to bright colors. We go from snow white and gray slush and bare brown branches to blue skies and green grass and flowers of many colors. It’s those flowers that inspired my project for today.
