Good Morning Creatives!

Today I am sharing with you a fun and funky little shadow box I made using my Gel Press plates and Gel Press Impressables Overlapping Circles.

I had so much fun making this. I love mixing together bright colors and steampunk elements.

How to:

For this project I started with this amazing print I had in my stash:

I wanted to bring out the lesser used colors, so I decided to make my box in purple, turquoise and lime green.

Using a 6×6 Gel Plate as a palette, I brayered my teal and purple across it and then used my Impressables Overlapping Circles to make impressions. Then I pressed my wooden shadow box into it. I repeated these steps until I had covered my entire box, including the sides.

After cleaning my plate off by pulling a print, I added a lime green paint to my plate and again, stamped my Overlapping Circle Impressables plate into my paint. I then used my Impressables as a stamp on my shadowbox.

Finishing Touches

To finish up my shadowbox, I added loads of fun metal embellishments.

Here is some closeups!

I LOVE how the bubble wrap I used gives my inset piece a perfect, uniform circular background.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project!! It was really fun to make and I hope it inspires you to go a little crazy!

Until next time,

XOXO,

Keri
