Quick and Fun Menu Board Project with Gel Press by Keri Sallee

Good Morning Creatives!

Today I am sharing an up-cycle project I made recently using my Gel Press prints!

One day last year, I found this random sign on clearance at Hobby Lobby for only $1.80.

It’s definitely NOT my style, but I bought it because I thought it would be fun to change it up.

To start with, I covered my whole thing with white gesso and picked out my Gel Press Print from my collection of prints.

To make it fit, I cut trimmed it down by tearing off the corners and the sides just a bit. (who needs scissors?!?!)

I used my Matte Gel Medium to adhere my print down. I used the same turquoise color I used in my print to fill in the the print and cover my edges. {Sorry…I forgot to take a picture of it in progress!}

To finish off my project, I added clothes pins and the words “This Week” to the top.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and it challenges you to look at something YOU can upcycle to something useful.

Until next time

XOXO,
