Good Morning Creatives!
Today I have a video tutorial for you!!
One of the best things about using Gel Press® plates for mono-printing is the ability to add tons of textures and colors in thin layers to achieve a BIG impact in a short amount of time.
As a Gel Press® Junkie, I am always looking for new and fun ways to add texture to my Gel Press® prints.
Today, I am going to show you how you can create your own unique texture plates and take your Gel Press® journey even further!
Supplies
For this project, you will need:
- Any Gel Press® Plate
- Self-Adhesive Foam (found in the craft department)
- Scissors
- Blunt Instrument (like a mechanical pencil without the lead up)
- Fluid Acrylic like DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics
- Brayer
- Scrap Wood
- Optional: Sizzix or other die cut machine with thicker dies (most thin metal wafer dies won’t cut through foam)

Closing Thoughts
I hope you today has inspired you to think beyond what you usually grab when you are making Gel Press® prints. Think BIGGER. Think BOLDER. Think UNIQUER. (ok…that’s not a word, but you get the point! LOL)
This is your chance to make your mono prints even more a reflection of you and your personal style.
Have fun and I can’t wait to see where you take this inspiration!
Until next time!
XOXO,
