Using Leftover Monoprints for Bible Journaling by Keri Sallee

Good morning, Creatives! My name is Keri Sallee and today I want to show you a quick and easy way to use your Gel Press prints in your journaling bible.

Making Gel Prints with Gel Press plates is super fun, but sometimes you don’t need to whole print for your project and you end up with a bunch of “leftover” bits. And you CAN’T throw them away…they are too pretty!

I used these scrap prints I had….

And hand-cut different size hearts to add to the border of my journaling bible.

Finishing Touches

To finish it up, I:

(1) Used my Faber Castell PITT Artist Pen to outline the hearts and lightly smudged them with my finger while it was still wet.

(2) Added some Derwent INKTENSE Block, going darker around the hearts to make them POP and then fading to a lighter blue.

(3) Used stickers to recreate my scripture focus Romans 13:9.

(4) Added some fun dots using a white paint pen.

{NOTE: I prepped my page with The Crafter’s Workshop Clear Gesso before starting!}

What does this all mean?

I hope you will take the time today to love on someone genuinely and maybe you will give them hope that they truly need that everything will be alright.

“Let LOVE be genuine…”

In these times we are in where there is so much negativity, we have to make the choice to love genuinely.

It doesn’t mean that we always agree, but it does mean that we look at our fellow human being and say “I want the best for you.” and REALLY mean it.

Until Next Time,

XOXO
